Absolute Serenity and Unspoiled Northern Lakes and Forests
Un-fished waters; lakes with no names that teem with Walleye, Northern Pike and Lake Trout; silence; loons calling in the misty dawn. Your biggest decision – which lure to use. And when to call it quits because your arms are tired from pulling in fish – big fish!
After many years of operation, Wheeler River Lodge is proud of our reputation as one of Saskatchewan’s first class fishing destinations. There is an excellent chance to land all of our five species (Walleye, Northern Pike, Lake Trout, Arctic Grayling and Whitefish) in a single day. With miles of water access from our river system as well as several walk-in lakes, you'll find it impossible to fish all our waters on your first trip. That's one of the reasons many of our guests return year after year.
Hunting, angling and trapping licences are available through HAL … that’s the government’s hunting, angling and trapping licence system.
Create a HAL ID (Hunting/Angling License) before purchasing the license.

Moose hunters will enjoy this wilderness paradise. Un-hunted populations enable trophy-size bulls to reach sizes that make the record books. There is virtually no other hunting in the area surrounding the lodge. Kevin estimates that they have several hundred square miles at their disposal for their moose hunts.
